Money's a problem


Month 15 // April 19, 2018: 

No one should be locked up in jail because of their income level. And still, thousands of New Yorkers sit behind bars when they're charged with low-level infractions, with relatively low bail amounts. (About 80% of New Yorkers charged with misdemeanors can't afford $1,000 in bail.) 

Our guests from Brooklyn Community Bail Fund will tell us how they're helping individuals afford the criminal justice system and maintain the presumption of innocence that we're all entitled.
